COVID Vaccine Clinic in the Cathedral Nave (or Parking Lot)

with 3 Comments

UPDATE: The June 24 clinic has been cancelled. Please check back for further updates.

At some appointments, your vaccine will be accompanied by live music on the Flentrop organ.

Saint Mark's is thrilled to be opening our doors to host a series of COVID-19 vaccine clinics in the sacred space of the cathedral nave, beginning this Thursday, April 29!

This clinic is offered in partnership with 6M Geriatrics and Hospital Medicine, a clinic located on First Hill.

At this time, the vaccine clinic will be in the cathedral nave at the times listed below. (Note that the registration links below do not explicitly list the location as Saint Mark's, but be assured that all 6M clinics at the following times are at the cathedral. Be sure to scroll down to see all the available slots.)

  • THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 9 A.M.–3:45 P.M.
  • WEDNESDAY, MAY 5, 4 P.M.–8 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, MAY 6, 9 A.M.–3:45 P.M.
  • WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 4 P.M.–8 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, MAY 13, 9 A.M.–3:45 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, MAY 20, 9 A.M.–3:45 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, MAY 27, 9 A.M.–3:45 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 9 A.M.–3:45 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, JUNE 10, 9 A.M.–1 P.M. (note new hours)
  • THURSDAY, JUNE 17, 9 A.M.–1 P.M.
  • THURSDAY, JUNE 24, 9 A.M.–1 P.M.

Stay tuned as additional times are added. New times will appear here as they become available. The Wednesday evening clinics are "drive-thru" in the cathedral parking lot.

Making a reservation in advance is strongly recommended. IF there are spaces and vaccine doses available, walk-up appointments may also be possible.

This is precisely the sort of missional purpose cathedrals have as resources to the broader community. We are so grateful to 6M and its director Dr. Sikirat Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, MD, MHA, for the opportunity to serve the community in this profound way. Now that everyone 16 years or older is eligible to be vaccinated, Saint Mark's encourages everyone receive a vaccine as soon as they can. Getting vaccinated protects both yourself and our entire community.

Please share this information with your friends and family!

Live Organ Music

Canon Michael Kleinschmidt and Associate Organist John Stuntebeck will offer live music on the Flentrop Organ during the vaccine clinic! Starting at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. on April 29 and May 6, they will play a 40-minute recital of soothing selections. Additional live music may be planned for the future.

Hi! I was going to make an appointment for June 17 but there’s no registration link, so i thought it was full
There’s no link for the 24th either. Can it be put back? Would love to register for my 2nd shot. Or do I need to do something else? Thanks!

Daniel, we were informed by the clinic that they had cancelled the June 17 due to a lack of appointments. At this time the June 24 clinic is still on the schedule, although it does not appear that the registration link is live yet. Please check back for updates on that, but also be aware that there are other pop-up clinics in the Seattle area in the coming days, such as the Edgewater hotel on Alaska Way on 6/17, “Rebel MD” in Ballard, Uncle Ike’s in White Center, etc. These sites can be found using the DOH website: https://prepmod.doh.wa.gov/
