Saint Mark’s invites Expressions of Interest for an opportunity to develop and manage a multi-generational affordable housing community on the site it owns at 1501 10th Avenue East in Seattle (formerly the St. Nicholas School).

Criteria for Selection

Demonstrated experience, capacity and mission alignment to successfully realize the project as envisioned:

  1. Strength of team to handle the complexities of entitlements and construction demanded by this project.   
  2. Organizational and financial capacity to develop the project on the targeted timeline. 
  3. Success in winning funding awards for 4% LIHTC developments in Seattle.
  4. History of long-term operation of multi-generational affordable housing communities. 
  5. A demonstrated alignment with the mission, objectives and priorities of Saint Mark's for this community. Learn more about the guiding criteria here. 

Saint Mark’s is continuing its discussions with qualifying affordable housing developers and housing funders to assess the appropriate timing to proceed with the development, with consideration for:

  1. The pipeline of critical affordable housing developments already under way;
  2. The level of competing demand for the funding resources critical to this affordable housing development; and
  3. The capacity of affordable housing developers to take on this additional development project.
