*AGO National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance

The final round of the National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance will take place on the Flentrop organ in Saint Mark’s Cathedral on Monday, July 4. One of North America’s most distinctive musical performance competitions, the NYACOP is held in conjunction with the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists which will be hosted by the Seattle Chapter of the AGO, July 4–7. The final round will be open to the public. The 2022 NYACOP began last fall with the initial Application Round which was conducted by recording. Nine semifinalists will compete in person on the Fritts organ of Lagerquist Concert Hall, Pacific Lutheran University, during the last week of June. From them, five finalists will be selected, who will compete for over $20,000 in prize money on the Flentrop organ at Saint Mark’s on July 4.
