DESCRIPTION:SATURDAYS\, 9:30 A.M. – 12 P.M\, Skinner Auditorium \nThe meeting is occasionally moved to Bloedel Hall. \nThose unable to attend in-person are also welcome to tune in via Zoom or YouTube livestream. \nSaint Mark’s Cathedral cathedral is the host this meeting of the Clear Mountain Buddhist Monastery community. \nJoin for a morning of meditation\, teaching\, and spiritual conversation over coffee! Each Saturday from 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.\, local practitioners gather together in the Saint Mark’s Cathedral Skinner Auditorium (located in the St Nicholas School Building\, just north of the cathedral building\, 1501 10th Ave E.) for a community meditation\, teaching\, and coffee social. \nGatherings begin with a guided sit from 9:30–10 a.m. designed to accommodate and empower a wide variety of practices\, from Buddhist meditation to centering prayer. The morning continues with a Dhamma teaching and Q&A from 10–11 followed by a chance\, for those who want\, to discuss life and practice over coffee from 11–noon. If they wish\, visitors may also bring a small food offering for the monastic meal. \nMore information about this meeting can be found here.

SUMMARY:A Day of Prayer and Spiritual Practices
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, MAY 10\, 1 P.M.–9:30 P.M.\, in the cathedral nave and around the cathedral campus \nJoin together as a cathedral community for a Day of Prayer and Spiritual Practices on Saturday\, May 10\, 2025. In addition to an online 24-hour prayer vigil led by at-home volunteers\, we will offer in-person prayer and several spiritual practice opportunities at the Cathedral from 1–9:30 p.m. \nThe day will be bookmarked by hourly prayers with facilitator-led spiritual practices\, including: centering prayer\, Taizé chants\, meditative Greenbelt walk\, in addition to prayer and spiritual practices for youth. \nArrive any time between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. and stay as long as you are able. \nA schedule for the day is as follows (subject to change): \n\n1 p.m. – Labyrinth Walk (outside on the labyrinth\, rain or shine)\n2 p.m. – Crafting and Praying with Beads (in the nave)\n3 p.m. – Embodied Prayer (in the nave)\n4 p.m. – Creative Prayer Stations for Kids (in the nave)\n5 p.m. – Evening Prayer with Schola Quartet (in the nave)\n5:30 p.m. – Liturgical Hike on the Greenbelt (after Evening Prayer\, meet in the lower parking lot by the Greenbelt entrance)\n6 p.m. – Creating Mandalas (in the nave)\n7 p.m. – Centering Prayer (in the nave)\n7:45 p.m. – Taizé Chants (in the nave\, after Centering Prayer)\n8 p.m. – The Examen (in the nave)\n8:30 p.m. Chanting the Psalms (in the nave)\n9–9:30 p.m. – Compline with Members of the Compline Choir (in the nave)
