DESCRIPTION:SATURDAYS\, 9:30 A.M. – 12 P.M\, Skinner Auditorium \nThe meeting is occasionally moved to Bloedel Hall. \nThose unable to attend in-person are also welcome to tune in via Zoom or YouTube livestream. \nSaint Mark’s Cathedral cathedral is the host this meeting of the Clear Mountain Buddhist Monastery community. \nJoin for a morning of meditation\, teaching\, and spiritual conversation over coffee! Each Saturday from 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.\, local practitioners gather together in the Saint Mark’s Cathedral Skinner Auditorium (located in the St Nicholas School Building\, just north of the cathedral building\, 1501 10th Ave E.) for a community meditation\, teaching\, and coffee social. \nGatherings begin with a guided sit from 9:30–10 a.m. designed to accommodate and empower a wide variety of practices\, from Buddhist meditation to centering prayer. The morning continues with a Dhamma teaching and Q&A from 10–11 followed by a chance\, for those who want\, to discuss life and practice over coffee from 11–noon. If they wish\, visitors may also bring a small food offering for the monastic meal. \nMore information about this meeting can be found here.

SUMMARY:Juneteenth Liturgy & BBQ
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, JUNE 21\, 12–3:30 P.M.\, in the cathedral nave and livestreamed; registration requested \nThe Black/African American Circle in the Episcopal Church of Western WA invites you to the 2025 Juneteenth liturgy and potluck BBQ. This event is open to all! \nThe worship service will feature poetry\, as well as African American spirituals under the direction of Vanessa Bruce and Ryan Ellis\, dancing from VCBynum Arts\, and drumming. Mixed media art will be on display from local Black artists as well. The Rev. Canon Carla Robinson will be presiding with the Rev. Paul Karume preaching. Our liturgist and artistic director is The Rev. Beverly Tasy. A special offering will also be taken up in support of the Richard Younge Curates of Color Fund. \nAfter the service\, all are welcome to enjoy a potluck BBQ on the cathedral lawn. BBQ ribs and links be provided along with sides\, including for vegetarians!
