Godly Play is typically presented as offering for children\, but the style of storytelling and the invitation to engage with Scripture or liturgical practices in a more creative\, wonder-filled way can be deeply meaningful for participants of all ages. \nThis monthly series is a great opportunity for those considering the call to become a Godly Play storyteller—see the full announcement below. \nSUNDAY\, JUNE 29 – The Ark and the Flood \nAs we reflect on the symbol of the rainbow this weekend\, we’ll hear this often-misunderstood story a bit differently as it is told with beautiful handmade materials. \nSUNDAY\, JULY 20 – Jesus and the Women \nOn the day we hear the Gospel story of Jesus and the sisters Mary and Martha\, come hear more about them and other women\, named and unnamed\, who came close to Jesus. \nSUNDAY\, AUGUST 31 – The Circle of the Holy Eucharist \nWe’ll wonder together about the parts of our Sunday worship service\, where they come from\, and how they connect to our lives.

SUMMARY:Queer in Christ Leadership Transitions Get-Together
DESCRIPTION:SUNDAY\, JUNE 20\, 7 P.M.\, in Leffler House \nAfter a very fruitful season for the Queer in Christ ministry\, Chloe Jett will be stepping away from leadership this month. In addition\, Sacristan Michael Seewer\, who helped launch the ministry in 2023\, is leaving the cathedral staff (see below). (In addition\, newly-arrived Curate the Rev. Adam Conley will have a role supporting QuiC in the future\, but he will be the subject a future Queer Conversation — stay tuned!) Let’s gather in Leffler House this Sunday evening to celebrate Michael and Chloe and look ahead before Michael departs. There will light refreshments and good company starting a 7 p.m.\, and the option to walk over to Compline together at 9:15 p.m.

(immediately following Compline)\, in the cathedral nave and in the organ loft \nThe tradition of informal mini-concerts on the Flentrop following Compline have introduced generations of Seattleites to the power and beauty of a real pipe organ. All are welcome to listen in the nave\, or join the organist in the loft to see what playing an instrument of this size is really like. (The radio program The Organ Loft\, which airs on KING-FM immediately following Compline each week\, was inspired by this tradition.) A Q&A in the loft usually follows the performance. \nFind a list of past and upcoming recitalists here. \nThe new iteration of this offering\, called Organ by Night\, will be offered once a month\, on the third Sunday of each month.
