SUMMARY:TERRA Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:ON VIEW MONDAY\, NOVEMBER 3 through SUNDAY\, NOVEMBER 23\, in the cathedral nave. \nThe cathedral building is open 12–5 P.M.\, MONDAY–FRIDAY during the exhibit.) \nOFFICAL LAUNCH EVENT: FRIDAY\, NOVEMBER 7\, 5–10 P.M. Free\, \nFor three weeks in November\, a 24-foot museum-grade Earth globe will be suspended from the central beam in the cathedral nave. This awe-inspiring 3-week exhibit at Saint Mark’s Cathedral\, is co-produced by Revival Gatherings and Orbis Globes\, in collaboration with Saint Mark’s. \nThe power of the Terra Exhibition is that it offers us the opportunity to experience the “overview effect;” a profound shift in human consciousness previously only made possible by viewing the earth from outer space. When Commander Frank Borman first glimpsed the blue-green marble from Apollo 8\, he exclaimed\, “This must be what God sees.” \nEvery weekday during the period when the globe is on display\, the cathedral will be open and accessible to the public from 12–5 p.m.\, and it will form a moving backdrop to weekly offerings—like Cathedral Yoga\, Contemplative Prayer\, and Sunday services including Compline—as well as special events like the United We Stand Prayer Vigil (Wednesday\, November 5\, 7 p.m.) a Creation-themed Taizé litrugy (Tuesday\, November 11\, 7 p.m.) and the Skyros Quartet concert (Sunday\, November 23\, 3 p.m.). \nIn addition\, there will be events specifically tied to the exhibit: a presentation and community resource fair organized by Saint Mark’s Creation Care Ministry and Visual Arts Ministry on November 14 titled Thin Places: Climate Change and Seeing Earth Whole (Friday\, November 14\, 7:30 p.m)\, and a five-hour “ritual concert experience” titled THE CIRCLE: Bridging Culture Through Song & Story organized by the producers of the Terra Exhibit itself (Saturday\, November 22\, 5:45–11 p.m.) \nLEARN MORE HERE \n\nDebut event \nThe official debut evening was Friday\, November 7\, begins at 5 p.m. with an informal reception and refreshments\, and continues with introductory remarks at 6:30\, collective & participatory music-making at 7 p.m.\, and a sound bath at 9:30 p.m.

SUMMARY:*THE CIRCLE—Bridging Culture Through Song and Story
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\,  NOVEMBER 22\, 2025\, 5:45 PM–11 P.M.\, in the cathedral nave \nTHE CIRCLE: Bridging Culture Through Song & Story\nRESERVE TICKETS HERE\n~ A 5hr Ritual Concert Experience~\nSoul – Folk – Gospel – Indigenous – Prayer – Story – Choir\n(No particular religious affiliation FYI)\n\nTHE INVITATION \nCome join us in a 1000 person Revival Choir “in-the-round” under a 24’ hanging globe\, in a world-renowned cathedral\, for a participatory concert experience like none other … Let us come together in these times of societal division to sing into the beauty of what unites us as humans … Let us gather during this harvest season\, under the glow of our Mother Earth\, giving voice to the hard truths and hearty gifts at the core of our collective story … Invite your friends and family. This is something that you’ll carry in your hearts for many years to come… (And it’s like 3 concerts in 1\, not to mention something that you’ll just seriously enjoy 😉).  \nTHE SETTING \nImagine 1000 humans together under the majestic architecture of St. Mark’s Cathedral. Imagine a circular stage at the center of us all\, encircled by culture tenders from every continent\, directly under a gigantic suspended Earth. Imagine dozens of rugs\, floor pillows\, pews and chairs in concentric circles throughout the cathedral. Imagine dynamic lighting and immersive surround sound bringing us all into resonance as we listen to – and sing with – some of the most engaging musicians and storytellers of our modern era. \nTHE PRAYER \nMay we remember that in a circle everything is connected and everyone belongs … May we be supported in calling upon the gods of deep culture & cathedral to join us in a rowdy evening of joyous praise … May we honor the holy loom upon which the tapestry of our past is still being woven\, while singing out as if 7 future generations depended upon our chorus for their wholeness … May we offer up this true Thanks-giving in gratitude for all that we have\, in service to all those who need it\, and in praise to all the miracles of our Dearest. Mother. Earth. \nTHE PARTY \nMay we not take ourselves toooooooo seriously…\nI’m quite certain that this gravitas & prayer\nwill be woven into a wildly good time.\nI’ve seen it happen many-a-night.\n(This is a Revival after all 😉)\n \nEVENING SCHEDULE \n4:00PM  Doors Open  (Arrive early. Get a prime seat. Have a little picnic. Enjoy your neighbors : ) \n5:45  Opening Circle – Participants MUST Arrive By 5:45pm At The Latest!!!  This is a “closed container.” (An event that requires a through-line of presence & participation. Thank you for understanding. FYI: Leaving early is fine\, though you will miss out 😉\n\n6:00  Paul Chiyokten Wagner  (Coast Salish Flutist & Storyteller) and Alyx Somas (Native North American Ritualist) will guide us into our evening through song and prayer\, offering stories about this time of year\, and intentions for our time together. \n6:30  Mamuse  (An uplifting\, 4 piece folk-soul-revival group with hauntingly-beautiful female harmonies) will lead us in collective song to open our hearts wide to the incredible moment of history that we find ourselves in. \n8:00  Intermission  (Bring light food to share with your neighbors! Quiet packaging only please). \n8:15  Aaron Johnson & Family  (Bellowing trio of sibling song holders) will lead us all in vocal expressions born deep within the roots of the African diaspora\, inviting us into a sanctuary of soul\, celebration\, and sanctity. \n8:45  Max Ribner (and the 10 piece “Resilient Beings Orchestra”) will lead us in a raucously-powerful collective song experience that you’ll never forget. Culture Tenders\, Song Leaders & Wisdom Keepers will be highlighted throughout this set. \n10:30  Closing Circle  Ritual\, integration and moving forward… \n11:00PM  Event Ends  (Please clear out by Midnight so our team can fully strike the Cathedral). \nREVIVAL GATHERINGS \nRevival Gatherings are highly participatory in nature. Despite what you may have been told about your voice\, we wholeheartedly welcome your courageous engagement… We’re honored to host revered culture tenders and wisdom keepers from many nations\, who’ll be offering up their gifts through prayer and poetry over musical accompaniment throughout the evening… And last but not least\, in typical Revival fashion\, there will be many unique and experimental musical configurations throughout the evening that will never happen again… (Enjoy it while it’s here 🙂 \nTERRA EXHIBITION \nTHE CIRCLE concert weekend is a culmination of the inaugural 3 week “Terra Exhibition” at St. Mark’s Cathedral\, (produced by Orbis Globes and Revival Gatherings) … From Nov 3rd-23rd a 24’ museum-grade Earth globe will be suspended from the ceiling\, internally-lit\, rotating\, and lowered down during contemplative exhibition hours\, cathedral yoga classes\, zen prayer evenings\, and other programming. Tell your friends and family\, this is a world-class installation that you don’t want to miss! (We’ll be touring with this exhibition and hosting similarly-powerful concert experiences at other renowned cathedrals into 2026 and beyond).
