DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by the Rev. Canon Emily Griffin \n \nWhat is the significance of the Word of God becoming flesh\, and what difference can it make in our lives? In For the Time Being: A Christmas Oratorio\, poet W.H. Auden addresses these questions by featuring different voices within the Nativity story while also commenting on our present time. We will explore the poem together and have time for both conversation and quiet reflection. Please bring a copy of the poem with you; a 2013 Critical Edition is in print and available where books are sold. \nPart of the Wisdom School 2026-27 season. \nNote: This event is in-person only. SUMMARY:NYE Labyrinth Walk with Midnight Eucharist
DESCRIPTION:Midnight Eucharist at the center of the labyrinth\, observing the Feast of the Holy Name. \n \nAs the old year passes and a new one begins\, take time in the quiet\, candle-lit space of the cathedral nave to pause\, look inward\, and experience walking a labyrinth. Musical accompaniment will be provided by guest musicians throughout the evening. At the stroke of midnight\, an intimate service of Holy Eucharist is offered in the center of the labyrinth\, observing the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus. All are welcome; freewill donations gratefully received.
