Carol Westpfahl \n \n“The silence of [our prayer] is not meant to separate us from the world\, but to help us listen more deeply—to God\, and to the cries of humanity. In prayer we try to carry before God the struggles and hopes of so many.” – Monks of New Camaldoli Hermitage\, CA. \nThe life of Jesus teaches us that God stands with the wounded\, vulnerable\, and forgotten\, and that even where the cross is most present\, the quiet power of the resurrection is already at work. God graciously invites us to be part of that work. We will explore how “contemplative activism” rooted in Presence can assist us in embodying compassion and oneness in our response to suffering. \nPart of the Wisdom School 2026-27 season \nProgram is free; optional community dinner at 6 p.m. ($8/adult; $25/family max.)  \n
