The anthem for Easter 2025 will be Jacob Handl’s thrilling Christus surrexit. \n\nA beloved Seattle institution since 1956\, the all-male Compline Choir sings the last monastic office of the day every Sunday at 9:30 p.m. \nThe service is broadcast live each week on KING 98.1 FM\, or streaming at king.org. \nThe service is livestreamed on the cathedral’s livestream page\, or on complinechoir.org\, or on Facebook: facebook.com/SaintMarksSeattle or facebook.com/complinechoir or on YouTube: youtube.com/c/SaintMarksEpiscopalCathedralSeattle \nVideo of recent services may be seen on the Compline page.  \nThe service is also available as a podcast. SUMMARY:Organ by Night (10:10 p.m)
DESCRIPTION:THIRD SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH\, 10:10 P.M. (immediately following Compline)\, in the cathedral nave and in the organ loft \nThe tradition of informal mini-concerts on the Flentrop following Compline have introduced generations of Seattleites to the power and beauty of a real pipe organ. All are welcome to listen in the nave\, or join the organist in the loft to see what playing an instrument of this size is really like. (The radio program The Organ Loft\, which airs on KING-FM immediately following Compline each week\, was inspired by this tradition.) A Q&A in the loft usually follows the performance. \nFind a list of past and upcoming recitalists here. \nThe new iteration of this offering\, called Organ by Night\, will be offered once a month\, on the third Sunday of each month.

SUMMARY:Radix Opening Plenary: Health\, Healing\, and Shalom
DESCRIPTION:OPENING PLENARY: SUNDAY\, APRIL 27\, 7–8 P.M.\, via Zoom. Open to all; no registration required. \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/81097005631?pwd=Rk0aX6iUc5GjU6FgDw36iIiJCXCAJN.1 \nParishioner and emergency medicine physician Dr. Jen Younggren will offer the theological reflection at this Zoom-only presentation. \nSMALL GROUPS MEET: ONCE A WEEK FOR SIX WEEKS\, STARTING THE WEEK OF APRIL 29\, in person OR online via Zoom\, registration required. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MONDAY\, APRIL 21\, 5 P.M. \nDean Thomason\, explaining the topic of this series of Radix gatherings\, writes\, “The conflation of “health” with the narrower concept of “medicine” as the dominant model in western industrialized nations is a thoroughly modern phenomenon. The vast majority of human history has functioned with a different model\, and although the scientific contributions of modern medicine cannot and should not be forsaken\, there is a role for the church in the societal discourse about how health might be redefined in broader terms—physical\, mental\, spiritual\, economic\, and political—for the individual\, family\, community\, society\, nation\, and world. From this perspective\, we have a great deal to learn from Biblical stories of healing—it is the idea and ideal of shalom.” \nStarted in January of 2020\, The Radix Project was created at Saint Mark’s as an opportunity for individuals to gather in small groups\, share their stories\, reflect on Holy Scripture and sacred art\, and pray for one another with intention. This popular program has been offered 13 times over the last five years. Register using this form before Monday\, April 21\, 5 p.m.
