DESCRIPTION:WEDNESDAYS\, MAY 7 – JUNE 4\, St. Nicholas Building\, Room 102 \n \nJOYFUL NOISE is a new\, play-based musical offering at Saint Mark’s Cathedral for babies\, toddlers\, and preschoolers (and their chosen adults!) to explore sound\, build the foundations of music theory\, and develop key physical and social-emotional skills in a joyful\, welcoming community. Classes take place on Wednesdays from May 7 to June 4\, 2025\, in Room 102 of the St. Nicholas Building. Tiny Tones (ages 0–3) meets from 4–4:45 p.m.\, followed by Happy Harmonizers (ages 3–5) from 5–5:45 p.m. \nThe 5-week session is $100\, or $90 each when you sign up with a friend. Partial scholarships are available—no one is turned away due to cost. All are invited to stay afterward for the beloved 6 p.m. Community Dinner. Come make music and memories—register today! \n  \n

Each Saturday from 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.\, local practitioners gather together in the Saint Mark’s Cathedral Skinner Auditorium (located in the St Nicholas School Building\, just north of the cathedral building\, 1501 10th Ave E.) for a community meditation\, teaching\, and coffee social. \nGatherings begin with a guided sit from 9:30–10 a.m. designed to accommodate and empower a wide variety of practices\, from Buddhist meditation to centering prayer. The morning continues with a Dhamma teaching and Q&A from 10–11 followed by a chance\, for those who want\, to discuss life and practice over coffee from 11–noon. It is a gentle\, restorative\, and contemplative practice\, and the instructors guide the group in ways that welcome newcomer and experienced practitioners alike. \n\nPay what you can.\nMats are available to borrow (first come\, first served).\nThe doors into the cathedral are opened at 6 p.m. and then locked at 6:30 p.m.\nOn the third Monday of each month the class ends with an extended savasana with Sound Bath\, 7:30–7:45 p.m. As the doors are locked at 6:30\, it is no longer possible to attend the sound bath without attending the class.
