Saint Mark's Seed Library
Saint Mark's has launched a seed library to make it easy for the community to share, take and grow seeds to enjoy vegetables, herbs and flowers while learning more about the land on which we live, move and have being in Seattle. Stop by the coffee corner in the nave to visit the seed library.
As we care for the earth and the land, we also give of ourselves in tending to our spiritual journey. It is our hope that the seed library will be an opportunity to connect people more closely with the earth to share in caring and service of others while enjoying in the new life that harvest brings.
How It Works:
- Give seeds (take a packet, fill out the instructions)
- Take seeds and plant or share with others
Seed criteria:
- Grows well in the Pacific Northwest
- Not genetically modified
- Not older than two years
- Heirloom is a bonus!
- From store packets or home grown
Resources:
- Download a Saint Mark's seed label to put on your packet.
- Listen to Dean Steve Thomason's sermon introducing seed library, "Apricating to Jesus in these Urgent Times"
