Compline Choir

Every Sunday evening at 9:30 p.m. in the Cathedral’s nave, the all-male Compline Choir leads this formal choral service that is a Seattle tradition. Artists in Residence: Cathedral Trio

The Cathedral Trio (Brian Fairbanks, flute, Joyce Ramée, viola, and Naomi Kato, harp) has been a resident ensemble at Saint Mark’s Cathedral since 2008, performing each year on the Arts at Saint Mark’s Series, as well as in venues around the Puget Sound area. In addition to numerous performances of standard works for their instrumentation, the Cathedral Trio has performed a wide repertoire of other lyrical and original works, including music by Jan Bach, Ian Krouse, Dave Volpe, William Mathias, and Bruce Babcock. The trio has given two world premieres of works composed for them Tears of God,(2011) by Seattle composer Dell Wade and In the Moonlight,(2010) by eminent Japanese composer Jiro Censhu.

Named for the “First Lady of Estonian Music”, the Mägi Enesmble is a professional ensemble of eight singers that focuses on music from the Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).
