WINTER WEATHER UPDATES FROM SAINT MARK'S
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2022
Due to extremely icy conditions, the cathedral building will be closed all day today.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2022
Due to the forecast of several inches of the snow, and the Winter Weather Advisory for Seattle and vicinity issued by the National Weather Service, the Pageant of the Nativity scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, has been postponed until JANUARY 6, 2023
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services will occur regardless of weather conditions, and they will be livestreamed as well. As always, we encourage everyone to consider safety their first priority when making travel decisions.
Watch this space for updated information about closure of the building and the status of other offerings at the cathedral.
It is the policy of Saint Mark's Cathedral is that, while we may close weekdays due to inclement weather, Saint Mark's NEVER cancels Sunday worship services, but we ask every person to use caution. Safety is of primary concern, and those who can be present safely will form the worshiping community. The 11 a.m. Sunday Eucharist service is always livestreamed, unless staff availability makes it impossible. Again, safety is the primary concern.
Other cathedral events may be canceled or rescheduled as necessary.
