The Holy Eucharist
The 11 a.m. Sunday morning service will be livestreamed as usual this week, coming from the Cathedral nave. For more details on ways to stay connected to Saint Mark's Cathedral during the public health crisis, please visit our schedule.
The office of Compline will not be open to the public during the cathedral closure. It will be broadcast as usual on KING-FM 98.1 and king.org, and livestreamed from the Cathedral Nave, at 9:30 P.M.
A beloved Seattle institution since 1956, the all-male Compline Choir sings the last monastic office of the day every Sunday at 9:30 p.m. Hundreds pack the nave each week for this meditative service, while thousands more listen to the broadcast on KING-FM, 98.1, streaming online at king.org, or via the podcast. More information can be found at complinechoir.org.
Not Hearing any Sound? Here's how to Unmute the Video Player
The controls for the livestream's sound are located in the video player's bottom toolbar. If you aren't hearing the service, look for the speaker symbol and click on it. Conversely, you can mute the sound by clicking the same button. You may have to run your mouse over the toolbar to make it appear (or touch it on a mobile device.)
How to Restore a Weak Livestream Connection
At times, the stream's signal may become weak or disconnected, and you may see a spinning wheel, or a black or green screen. When this happens, you can try several things to make the stream re-connect. First, run your mouse over the streaming window, (or touch the window if you're on a mobile device) and the tool bar at the bottom will appear. Try clicking the controls at the bottom left. These buttons may appear differently depending on which browser or device you are watching on. You may see the word 'LIVE' or a 'play' triangle button - click on either of those and see if the stream will reconnect. You may also try refreshing your browser window, which will reload the entire webpage, and that sometimes will reconnect you to the stream.
