A Day of Godly Play

Led by the Rev. Canon Emily Griffin and Joy Studer, Licensed Godly Play Trainers
Through a collaboration between the Diocese of Olympia and Saint Mark’s Cathedral, we are pleased to offer a day of workshops for all: those who are new to this methodology and those who have been practicing for a long time. Join us for a day of learning, community building, and sharing best practices. After a full Godly Play session together, we’ll offer an introductory track for new storytellers and doorpersons and a second track for those seeking to deepen their practice – with a focus on newer stories (such as the Lord’s Prayer and the Psalms) and tips for engaging older children. We’ll conclude the day together with a reflection on children’s spirituality and resources for parents and other caregivers.
Registration required; fee of $35 per person, which includes continental breakfast and lunch. We don’t want cost to be a barrier to participation. If you need financial assistance, contact Canon Wendy at wbarrie@saintmarks.org.
*Please note that there is no elevator in the St. Nicholas Building. The event will take place on the 2nd floor. Reach out to wbarrie@saintmarks.org for accessibility options before registering.
