The Cathedral Foundation of the Diocese of Olympia is an independently-governed, tax-exempt organization founded in 1995. It is affiliated with, but separate from, both Saint Mark’s Cathedral and the Bishop’s Office of the Diocese of Olympia. Its Board of Directors includes members from the cathedral parish as well as from other communities and congregations across the Diocese of Olympia.

The Foundation preserves and enhances the cathedral’s building and grounds today and for the future. This includes supporting Saint Mark’s Planned Giving program to increase endowment funding, managing restricted offerings in support of the cathedral’s building and grounds, providing occasional disbursements to help with unplanned emergency repairs of the cathedral's facilities, and making an annual disbursement of a portion of the investment fund (typically 4–5%) for regular building maintenance.

Whether you worship at Saint Mark’s Cathedral or elsewhere, your gift to the Cathedral Foundation is a statement of support of the cathedral’s mission and ministry. We are so grateful for your support for this church on the hill.
