Godly Play
Between services on Sunday mornings, we create space for children to deeply experience the texts and stories of the Bible that make us Christian people and form our faith. Classes are open to children in preschool through fifth grade and offer children the opportunity to grow in community with each other and caring adults.
On January 17, the younger class will learn about the Parable of the Good Shepherd while the older class will dive into the Parable of the Good Samaritan and the Story of Martin Luther King Jr. Side-by-Side.
Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum that recognizes that children are already in relationship with God. It invites them to wonder deeply about the core stories of scripture and imaginatively explore our liturgical traditions as it gives them practice in speaking the language of our Christian faith.
