Indigenous Justice

As part of the cathedral’s commitment to restorative justice and systemic change, the community of Saint Mark’s offers education on issues of Indigenous justice, invites special guests, including prominent Indigenous voices within the Episcopal Church, and supports the Duwamish Tribe through their Real Rent program. All gatherings at Saint Mark’s begin with a Land Acknowledgment, recognizing the Duwamish people as the first people of Seattle, and the Coast Salish tribes as the first people of this region.
