The Vestry is compromised of the Dean/Rector and a group of laypeople elected by the parish who supervise and sustain the finances, facilities and grounds of the cathedral and help give direction and guidance to the ministries of Saint Mark’s. The Vestry also includes a representative of the Bishop and “Diocesan members” who are members of other parishes in the Diocese of Olympia. Meetings

The Vestry meets once a month, usually on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings typically occur in Diocesan House and are open to the public. Vestry meeting are sometimes in person only, and sometimes hybrid (in person and via Zoom), as needed. Email questions to vestry@saintmarks.org

Bishop of Olympia

The Rt. Rev. Philip N. LaBelle is the Ninth Bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. The Diocese elected Bishop LaBelle on May 18, 2024, and he was Consecrated and Ordained on September 14, 2024. Steve was called to Saint Mark’s in 2012 after serving churches in his native state of Arkansas. He was ordained a priest in 2004. Valerie is the Canon Missioner for Faith Formation of the Diocese of Olympia. She comes to the Office of the Bishop from Grace Episcopal Church, Bainbridge Island, where she worked for five years coordinating their Children & Families Ministry.
