Opening Reception for Children’s Art Display from Gaza and Ukraine
Presented by Saint Mark’s Visual Arts Ministry and Sacred Spaces, this new exhibit features artwork by children from Gaza and Ukraine, offering a glimpse into the realities of war through the eyes of the young. The display will be located in the back of the cathedral nave near the coffee/cookie corner.
All are invited to an opening reception immediately following the 11 a.m. service on July 13, with remarks from D’Vorah Kost and Rev. Mark Miller. Refreshments will be generously provided by the Bishop’s Committee for Peace in the Middle East, including volunteer contributions and Syrian catering.
In addition, Palestinian crafts created by Gazan refugee women in Cairo will be available for donation, supporting families displaced by conflict.
The art will remain on display in the nave through the summer. For questions, contact Deborah Brown.
