Children’s Chapel is offered each Sunday at the 9 a.m. service. Children in preschool through second grade are invited to join the Gospel procession around the Deacon as the Gospel is proclaimed. Then they process to Thomsen Chapel for the Gospel story in a developmentally appropriate telling, singing, and prayer. They return to their families at the Peace. Younger children may attend accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Liturgy with sermon and hymns. Music is offered by Saint Mark’s Singers or children’s choirs. Children’s Chapel is offered during the 9 a.m. service. After the Gospel is proclaimed, children pre-school through 2nd grade are invited to Thomsen Chapel for Bible stories, singing, and prayer. Parents are welcome to join their children. Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum that recognizes that children are already in relationship with God. On October 4, the younger class will hear about the Great Family while the older class will learn about the Circle of the Church Year.

The Queer in Christ Ministry is gathering for their first meeting of the program year. The agenda includes post-summer catch-ups, shared snacks, conversation about upcoming program goals, and discussion of diocesan and ecumenical opportunities for engagement. Choral Evensong on the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost This ancient practice of singing evening prayers is offered by an intergenerational choir on the first Sunday of the month, October through May. More information is available at saintmarks.org/evensong.
