Morning Mix is a new occasional gathering for all ages. On this day, you're invited to bring a photo of a beloved pet to add to our bulletin board for the Feast of St. Francis. We'll make dog biscuits and cat toys and share stories of the animals who have brought us companionship and delight. Liturgy and music reflecting the breadth and depth of the Episcopal tradition, with Scripture, sermon, hymns, and choral anthems. On the last Sunday of each month, a cathedral docent offers a guided tour of the nave, Thomsen Chapel, and the Cathedral House. These tours highlight the cathedral’s history and architecture as participants move throughout the building. An elevator is available for those who need it. Meet at the back of the nave under the clock at 12:30 pm.

Join Midway members for a kick off event of the program year by gathering as a group and taking the Cathedral Tour together. Midway is a group for adults—singles, couples, parents or not—in the messy middle after young adulthood but before retirement. There is no strict age requirement—if you feel like you fit into the description of middle adulthood, then you are welcome!

Much has been written about redemptive suffering; that is, the possibility of suffering for the sake of justice or love leading to a greater good. Others counter that the concept is unjust and contributes to further victimization. Each week a discussion is facilitated by rotating guest leaders, and lively conversation ensues as people share their thoughts about the lessons. The group meets from 12–1:30 p.m. for study and prayer over the lectionary, led by a rotating member of the cathedral staff and clergy. Join early at 11:30 for social time. After the Gospel is proclaimed, children pre-school through 2nd grade are invited to Thomsen Chapel for Bible stories, singing, and prayer. Parents are welcome to join their children. Children’s Chapel is offered each Sunday at the 9 a.m. service. Children in preschool through second grade are invited to join the Gospel procession around the Deacon as the Gospel is proclaimed. Then they process to Thomsen Chapel for the Gospel story in a developmentally appropriate telling, singing, and prayer. They return to their families at the Peace. Younger children may attend accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Liturgy and music reflecting the breadth and depth of the Episcopal tradition, with Scripture, sermon, hymns, and choral anthems. On the last Sunday of each month, a cathedral docent offers a guided tour of the nave, Thomsen Chapel, and the Cathedral House. These tours highlight the cathedral’s history and architecture as participants move throughout the building. An elevator is available for those who need it. Meet at the back of the nave under the clock at 12:30 pm.
This evening Eucharist offers periods of silence for reflection, simple meditative music, and lots of candlelight. Anointing and healing blessings are offered after the service.
