On February 7, the younger class will learn about the Parable of the Good Samaritan while the older class will dive into the Parable of the Mustard Seed and the Parable of the Leaven Side-by-Side.

Choral Evensong on the Last Sunday after the Epiphany This ancient practice of singing evening prayers is offered by an intergenerational choir on the first Sunday of the month, October through May. More information is available at saintmarks.org/evensong.
This evening Eucharist offers periods of silence for reflection, simple meditative music, and lots of candlelight. Anointing and healing blessings are offered after the service.
This group provides a weekly conversation around the scripture readings for the following Sunday. Each week a discussion is facilitated by rotating guest leaders, and lively conversation ensues as people share their thoughts about the lessons. The group meets from 12–1:30 p.m. for study and prayer over the lectionary, led by a rotating member of the cathedral staff and clergy. Join early at 11:30 for social time. On the second Tuesday of each month, the Third Acters (60+) gather on Zoom to build community with a check-in, during which time we exchange stories, inspiration and often, joy. The Contemplative Prayer group gathers in the Saint Mark’s Cathedral nave each week. Meetings begin with a time of silent meditation, followed by a discussion of contemplative experience and practices, including Centering Prayer.
Gather in McCaw Chapel—the space in the cathedral nave behind the altar platform, beneath the rose window. Whatever your prior experience with the Daily Office, come and pray together in community. Attendees can head down to the community dinner in Bloedel Hall at 6 p.m. immediately following the service, and are encouraged to stick around for a Cathedral Commons forum if one is scheduled.
Children’s Chapel is offered each Sunday at the 9 a.m. service. Children in preschool through second grade are invited to join the Gospel procession around the Deacon as the Gospel is proclaimed. Then they process to Thomsen Chapel for the Gospel story in a developmentally appropriate telling, singing, and prayer. They return to their families at the Peace. Younger children may attend accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

A community dinner, prepared by Chef Marc Aubertin and his team, is served in Bloedel Hall. Due to food safety requirements, food service must end at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Cost: $6/child; $8/adult; $25/max. family.
