Children’s Chapel
Children’s Chapel is offered each Sunday at the 9 a.m. service. Children in preschool through second grade are invited to join the Gospel procession around the Deacon as the Gospel is proclaimed. Then they process to Thomsen Chapel for the Gospel story in a developmentally appropriate telling, singing, and prayer. They return to their families at the Peace. Younger children may attend accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Liturgy with sermon and hymns. Music is offered by Saint Mark’s Singers or children’s choirs. Children’s Chapel is offered during the 9 a.m. service. After the Gospel is proclaimed, children pre-school through 2nd grade are invited to Thomsen Chapel for Bible stories, singing, and prayer. Parents are welcome to join their children. Newcomers’ Coffee Hour with Clergy
This coffee hour is offered especially for newcomers, guests, or anyone who has questions about the cathedral community and liturgies. Gather in the back of the nave at the conclusion of the 11 a.m. service. Email newcomers@saintmarks.org if you cannot attend in person, or with any other questions.

Choral Evensong
Choral Evensong on the Sixth Sunday of Easter This ancient practice of singing evening prayers is offered by an intergenerational choir on the first Sunday of the month, October through May. More information is available at saintmarks.org/evensong.

Bible Study
This group provides a weekly conversation around the scripture readings for the following Sunday. Each week a discussion is facilitated by rotating guest leaders, and lively conversation ensues as people share their thoughts about the lessons. The group meets from 12–1:30 p.m. for study and prayer over the lectionary, led by a rotating member of the cathedral staff and clergy. Join early at 11:30 for social time. Evening Prayer in McCaw Chapel
Gather in McCaw Chapel—the space in the cathedral nave behind the altar platform, beneath the rose window. Whatever your prior experience with the Daily Office, come and pray together in community. Attendees can head down to the community dinner in Bloedel Hall at 6 p.m. immediately following the service, and are encouraged to stick around for a Cathedral Commons forum if one is scheduled.

Third Acters Gathering on Zoom
On the second Tuesday of each month, the Third Acters (60+) gather on Zoom to build community with a check-in, during which time we exchange stories, inspiration and often, joy. Each gathering is focused on a question such as, “How are you increasing your intimacy with God as you age?” Or “What is your experience of downsizing your home?,” and attendees are invited to share.
