
SATURDAY, MAY 10, 1 P.M.–9:30 P.M., in the cathedral nave and around the cathedral campus
Join together as a cathedral community for a Day of Prayer and Spiritual Practices on Saturday, May 10, 2025. In addition to an online 24-hour prayer vigil led by at-home volunteers (see below), in-person prayer and several spiritual practice opportunities will be offered in and around the cathedral from 1–9:30 p.m.
The day will be bookmarked by hourly prayers with facilitator-led spiritual practices, including: centering prayer, Taizé chants, a liturgical Greenbelt walk, in addition to prayer and spiritual practices for youth. Arrive any time between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. and stay as long as you are able.
The schedule of the day is as follows:
- 1 p.m. – Labyrinth Walk (outside on the labyrinth, rain or shine)
- 2 p.m. – Crafting and Praying with Beads (in the nave)
- 3 p.m. – Embodied Prayer (in the nave)
- 4 p.m. – Creative Prayer Stations for Kids (in the nave)
- 5 p.m. – Evening Prayer with Schola Quartet (in the nave)
- 5:30 p.m. – Liturgical Hike on the Greenbelt (after Evening Prayer, meet in the lower parking lot by the Greenbelt entrance)
- 6 p.m. – Creating Mandalas (in the nave)
- 7 p.m. – Centering Prayer (in the nave)
- 7:45 p.m. – Taizé Chants (in the nave, after Centering Prayer)
- 8 p.m. – The Examen (in the nave)
- 8:30 p.m. Chanting the Psalms (in the nave)
- 9–9:30 p.m. – Compline with Members of the Compline Choir (in the nave)
Hourly Prayer at Home
