This evening Eucharist offers periods of silence for reflection, simple meditative music, and lots of candlelight. Anointing and healing blessings are offered after the service.

20s/30s Questioning Together
The Rev. Adam Conley will lead the group in a discussion about the role of Christianity in supporting a liberal democracy. Tea and dessert will be provided. At 9:15 p.m., any who wish to stay for Compline will attend together.

Bible Study
This group provides a weekly conversation around the scripture readings for the following Sunday. Each week a discussion is facilitated by rotating guest leaders, and lively conversation ensues as people share their thoughts about the lessons. The group meets from 12–1:30 p.m. for study and prayer over the lectionary, led by a rotating member of the cathedral staff and clergy. Join early at 11:30 for social time. Third Acters Gathering on Zoom
On the second Tuesday of each month, the Third Acters (60+) gather on Zoom to build community with a check-in, during which time we exchange stories, inspiration and often, joy. Evening Prayer in McCaw Chapel
Gather in McCaw Chapel—the space in the cathedral nave behind the altar platform, beneath the rose window. Whatever your prior experience with the Daily Office, come and pray together in community. Attendees can head down to the community dinner in Bloedel Hall at 6 p.m. immediately following the service, and are encouraged to stick around for a Cathedral Commons forum if one is scheduled.

Cathedral Commons: Community Dinner
A community dinner, prepared by Chef Marc Aubertin and his team, is served in Bloedel Hall. Due to food safety requirements, food service must end at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Cost: $6/child; $8/adult; $25/max. family.

When is Suffering Redemptive, and Who Decides?
Much has been written about redemptive suffering; that is, the possibility of suffering for the sake of justice or love leading to a greater good. Others counter that the concept is unjust and contributes to further victimization. We’ll question whether redemption is in the eye of the beholder and consider what roles grace and resurrection play in how we make meaning of our suffering.
