Talking to God in the Whirlwind: A Sufferer’s Wisdom in the Book of Job
Wednesday, January 20, 2027 @ 6:45 pm - 8:15 pm in Bloedel Hall

Facilitated by the Rev. Adam Conley

How are we to make sense of suffering when God so blithely allows the life of his servant Job to disintegrate into dust and ashes? The Book of Job isn’t an answer to the problem of evil so much as it is a portrait of a human sufferer in relationship to God. This conversation will plumb the depths of this poetic masterpiece to learn how God relates to the sufferer, and how the sufferer relates to God.
