Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum that recognizes that children are already in relationship with God. On November 8, the younger class will learn about The Ten Best Ways while the older class will dive into The Prophet Ezekiel.

Bible Study
This group provides a weekly conversation around the scripture readings for the following Sunday. Each week a discussion is facilitated by rotating guest leaders, and lively conversation ensues as people share their thoughts about the lessons. The group meets from 12–1:30 p.m. for study and prayer over the lectionary, led by a rotating member of the cathedral staff and clergy. Join early at 11:30 for social time. Children’s Chapel
Children’s Chapel is offered each Sunday at the 9 a.m. service. Children in preschool through second grade are invited to join the Gospel procession around the Deacon as the Gospel is proclaimed. Then they process to Thomsen Chapel for the Gospel story in a developmentally appropriate telling, singing, and prayer. They return to their families at the Peace. Younger children may attend accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

On Spiritual Darkness
It’s easy to rejoice when we feel God’s presence: a moving service, a beautiful vista, an answered prayer. But when God feels absent, it’s another story. We can easily assume that we’ve failed God somehow, that God is disappointed in us or even angry. Spiritual darkness can be a hopeful sign that we are growing closer to God and more deeply connected to our neighbors.

Intergenerational Godly Play
Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum that recognizes that children are already in relationship with God. This week, we are inviting children and adults alike for an Intergenerational Godly Play class, where we'll hear about the Story of St. Nicholas. We'll also stuff stockings for Donna Jean's Place.
