All are welcome.
As the cathedral church for the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, Saint Mark’s seeks to be a place where all people encounter the living God and the reconciling Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether you’re looking for a place to worship on Sunday mornings, wandering in for Compline, practicing yoga, or attending a concert, you are welcome at Saint Mark’s. This is a sacred space for the people of Seattle—come and experience the serenity for yourself.

There is parking in our lot to the north and south of the cathedral building. Parking in our lot is free and unrestricted all day on Sundays. Parking options and weekday parking restrictions.
Most of the building is fully accessible via the elevator, which is located at the Hoerster Annex entrance. The cathedral nave is also easily accessible via the ramp on the left side of the patio steps (closest to the south parking lot).
When you come on Sunday morning, you’ll find people dressed in shorts and t-shirts, suits and dresses, and a great variety in between. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, you’ll fit right in.
A greeter will welcome you and hand you a service leaflet when you arrive, which has everything you need to participate in the service, including the Scripture readings.
The nave has pews and chairs as well as bench seating along the walls. Find a seat anywhere you like or ask an usher for guidance.
All are welcome at Christ’s table, including children (at their parents’ discretion). If you would like to learn more about the sacrament before receiving, please contact Canon for Intergenerational Ministries, Wendy Claire Barrie.
Alternatively, anyone—adults and children alike—are welcome to come forward at the time of Communion to receive a blessing from a priest instead. To do so, signal by crossing your arms over your chest.
Children are welcome and active participants in all Saint Mark’s liturgies.
On Sunday morning there is an area for quiet play on the carpet located along the south wall of the cathedral, with activity bags for younger children. We offer a variety of programs especially for children and youth on Sunday and at other times.
Mothers are most welcome to breastfeed their infants during the service—rocking chairs for that purpose are available near the Children's Carpet in the nave. You are also welcome to go to other quiet places to breastfeed; ask an usher for guidance.
