The 20s and 30s group at Saint Mark’s gather regularly to connect, share our spiritual journeys and build community. We consider issues of faith, justice, ethics, and meaning—as we enjoy each other’s company and share a meal or social time together. Many of our members are new to the Episcopal church, so it is a comfortable and light-hearted way to explore what we believe, how we worship, and how we create joyful and resilient lives.

A special 20s/30s newsletter is sent out every other month, containing information about upcoming 20s/30s events, along with reflections, recommendations, reports from recent gatherings, and more. 20s/30s Fourth Sunday Lunch

FOURTH SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH, Locations vary; meet at the baptismal font at 12:30 p.m.

The 20s/30s community gathers for lunch every fourth Sunday following the 11 a.m. service. Meet at the baptismal font to walk to a nearby restaurant or farmer’s market for great food and company. Everyone is welcome! Questions? Email Drew at drewbpdx@gmail.com

NOTE: On March 23, the fourth-Sunday gathering will be a Bagel Brunch and Capital Campaign Gathering in Leffler house. 

Questioning Together + Compline

Questioning Together and Compline will be held on the second Sunday of each month (occasionally moved to a different Sunday due to conflicts).

Gather in Leffler Living Room at 7:30 p.m. Each month we'll explore a question of faith together with a facilitator providing background on the topic before open discussion. At 9:15 p.m., there is the option to head over to Compline together.

Past topics have included: Geographic Location & Faith Expression, Food & Faith, How Much is Enough?, What is Anglo-Catholicism?, What Does It Mean to Practice Evangelism as Episcopalians?, and 50 Years of Women's Ordination.

Let's Taco Bout It—Dinner & Contemplative Prayer

On the first Tuesday of each month, the 20s/30s group gathers for a taco dinner at 6 p.m. in the St Nicholas Bldg, 2nd floor, then joins the Contemplative Prayer group from 7–8 p.m. Dinner hosts vary by month. Tortillas, beans, chips and salsa provided. Bring a favorite side. Learn more here.

Sober Spirituality

Spring Hike

SATURDAY, MARCH 23, 8 A.M., Meet on the Labyrinth, Trail Location TBD Mark the first week of spring by hitting the trail and enjoying nature. Meet at Saint Mark’s to carpool. First Saturday Run Group

Hosted by 20s/30s—All are welcome FIRST SATURDAYS: MARCH 2, APRIL 6, etc., 7:30 A.M., meet on the outdoor labyrinth  On hiatus in December, January, and February. Meetings will resume in the spring.  All ages are welcome to meet on the outdoor labyrinth in front of the cathedral for a three-mile morning run through Volunteer Park. All paces welcome. A Hygge Night In

It’s hard to explain and often mispronounced, but at its most basic, this Danish word translates to “cosiness” (learn more about the word here).
