10:30 a.m. Baptismal Preparation Class and Rehearsal

Cathedral Nave

Designed specifically for baptismal candidates and their sponsors. Prior to the class, candidates and their families meet with clergy to learn about this rite of initiation into the Christian faith. The day before baptisms, baptismal candidates and their sponsors get together to meet one another and to learn more about this ancient practice. Time is set aside to ask questions and to walk through the baptismal liturgy.

9 a.m. Holy Eucharist

Liturgy with sermon, hymns, and music by Saint Mark's Singers or children's choirs. Children's Chapel occurs during the 9 a.m. service. Childcare available in the Childcare center. Location: Cathedral Nave

10:10 a.m. Baptism celebration

Celebrating Baptisms on the Feast of Our Lord’s Baptism Join us for a festive reception in honor of the newly baptized at Saint Mark’s Cathedral. Location: cathedral nave.

11 a.m. Holy Eucharist

Liturgy and music reflecting the breadth and depth of the Episcopal tradition, with sermon, hymns, and the Cathedral Choir. In Cathedral Nave. Child care available during the service in the Child Care Center. Location: Cathedral Nave

7 p.m. Contemplative Eucharist

A contemplative Eucharist. There are times of silence for reflection, simple meditative music and lots of candlelight. Prayers for healing are available. For those who yearn for that place of quiet, we hope you will find a home at this service. Location: Thomsen Chapel

9:30 p.m. Compline

A beloved Seattle institution since 1956, the all-male Compline Choir sings the last monastic office of the day every Sunday at 9:30 p.m. Hundreds pack the nave each week for this meditative service, while thousands more listen to the broadcast on KING-FM, 98.1, streaming online at king.org, or via the podcast.
