Elizabeth Antley joined the Saint Mark’s staff as Climate Justice Coordinator & Cathedral Grant Writer in August of 2024. In this part-time role, she will engage special projects pertaining to the cathedral’s carbon reduction initiatives, strategic objectives, and missional and ministry goals, guided by our commitments to environmental stewardship, intergenerational community, and restorative justice. She will also serve as lead writer for grant applications that align with the cathedral’s current and prospective climate justice efforts as well as a range of intersectional missional goals.
In March 2025 she began a new role as Early Childhood Music Teacher guiding the launch of an Early Childhood Music program offering classes for babies & toddlers (ages 0 to 3) and for preschoolers (ages 3–5), both with parent/caregiver participation.
Elizabeth holds a Professional Certificate in Technical Writing from the University of Washington, specializing in grant writing, infographics, and brand strategies for charities and nonprofits. Her educational achievements also include a BA from McGill University and an MA in Political Science (Human Rights) from University College London. She is a multifaceted technical communicator and content creator who is passionate about social justice and the impact climate justice has on humanity and all creation.
In addition to Elizabeth’s work as a writer, she is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and producer, and spent nearly 10 years developing and leading an interactive music education program for families in London, UK, called School of Rock-a-bye Babies.
Elizabeth and her family have worshipped at Saint Mark’s since 2022.
