SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2021, 2 P.M.–5:15 P.M., pre-registration required

Did you know that Seattle has 650 publicly accessible stairways? In the early 1900s, property developers in hilly Seattle would construct public stairways for convenience and to improve access to trolly lines. Now, these scenic passageways provide opportunities to discover off-the-path views through Seattle neighborhoods.

Join with other young adults from around the Diocese of Olympia to explore and learn about different neighborhoods and Episcopal parishes within Seattle. Routes will draw inspiration from Seattle Stairway Walks and range between 2.5–4 miles at an easy pace. The walks start and end at the parish, with an opportunity to connect with clergy and other participants. We’ll also have an opportunity to learn more about the parish, meet clergy and enjoy refreshments after the walk. 

• OCTOBER 17: St. Paul's and "Southwest Queen Anne"

Cobblestone lanes, historic landmark homes, and expansive views mark this 4.1 mile walk starting from St. Paul’s. Join other young adults from around the Diocese of Olympia to explore and learn more about Southwest Queen Anne with stops at the Wilcox Wall, Parsons Garden and Kerry Park. We’ll also get a brief background and tour of St. Paul’s from Rev. Nat Johnson. Light refreshments provided. Participants have the option of attending a 5 pm service. Learn more and register here. UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 2022:

Night Prayer was created to stay connected during the pandemic in the summer of 2020. We gathered by phone on the 2nd and 4th Mondays for two years and have decided to pause this offering as we imagine new ways of connection and prayer in the shift of pandemic to endemic reality. Stay tuned for new opportunities for liturgy and prayer ahead. You can still check out and use liturgies developed: a service drawn from the New Zealand Prayer Book and from the Corrymeela community.

SECOND & FOURTH MONDAY OF EACH MONTH, 7:30 P.M.

The 20s & 30s at Saint Mark's host prayer together over the phone on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, now at a new time: 7:30 p.m. The liturgy usually ends around 7:45. On the fourth Monday of the month only, participants are also invited to gather in person, in addition to the call-in option. Participants are welcome on these Mondays to participate in Cathedral Yoga at 6:30 p.m., and then participate in the liturgy immediately following. In the summer months, the fourth-Monday in-person gathering will be offered outdoors on the labyrinth and front lawn. (Rain location: Leffler Sun room.)

SUNDAY, JANUARY 17, 5–7:15 P.M.

All ages are welcome to join the 20s/30s Group for a watch party viewing and discussion of SACRED via Zoom. How do others outside of our tradition, and our country, experience faith and spiritual practice? After the screening, we’ll discuss observations from the film. Watch the trailer below.
